3-5 Year Old Science Lessons Available!

These science lessons have taken up the bulk of our time so far. I am pleased to finally have them available to everyone! Here is our introduction and we hope you enjoy!

"Welcome to the wonderful world of science!

The following are some fun experiments and activities you can do with your child or coop. This is a compilation from blogs, pinterest, my sister, and books. Each one can be tailored to your group.

Some of the explanations are advanced for certain age groups. I have added in parentheses some simpler words to use in replacement for younger age groups. If an explanation is still too much, feel free to come up with your own or simplify mine even more!

Also, the time estimates are variable. If you have only one child, it will be quicker than co-ops with seven.

There are some experiments that take a day or two to get results from. You may want to do these experiments by yourself earlier so you can show the end result to your class right away. Think of all the cooking shows where they pull out a fully cooked turkey and say, “Here’s one I made earlier”. Again, this is entirely up to you.

For more activities for older groups you may want to look at “The Curious Kid's Science Book: 100+ Creative Hands-On Activities for Ages 4-8” by Asia Citro. We have heard good things about it and will probably check it out when our “littles” are “bigs”.

Best of luck,

Serena "
