3-5 Year Old: Music Lessons Are Online!

I am happy to announce the music lessons for ages 3-5 are now up online! Download your free music lesson pdf and start using them whenever. We hope you enjoy.

"Welcome to our music lessons!

In here you will find songs and lessons to help explore the words and sounds that make up music.

The two sections Basic Songs and Folk Songs contain lyrics and suggested activities to use during the lessons that utilize these songs. If your music lesson ends early for the day, these are also great “filler” activities. Not all songs have an activity.

For the Instrumental Play section, there are certain instruments each child needs to play along with. If you do not want to purchase these, the Make Your Own section has instructions on making these instruments.

The Instrumental Play lessons utilize instruments, songs, and actions to have the children learn rhythm and movement. You can find the melodies to the songs online if you are unfamiliar with them.

During the Basic, Folk Song, and Instrumental Play lessons, don’t worry about hitting all the songs or learning them all at first. We will repeat those lessons several times throughout the course. They’ll learn with time and repetition.

The final section contains the lesson plan and instructions for the day. There are more lessons than weeks of teaching so feel free to combine or skip lessons as needed. As always, feel free to add to these as well!

Our science section is still under review and may take a little longer to get up to you. In the meantime, check out this awesome book we stumbled on: "The Curious Kid's Science Book: 100+ Creative Hands-On Activities for Ages 4-8" by Asia Citro. We will probably use this book after our kids are out of preschool!
